Awaken to Righteousness

Ever wonder why you feel like the devil is pounding you down with problems? Do you have trouble standing against those problems and holding your ground? Christ redeemed us from the problems that challenge most people day to day. It is God's perfect will that we resist the onset of the devil and not yield to his attacks against our lives, this includes infirmities. How do we resist the devil when hope seems lost? Renew the mind with God's Word. Learn what it means to be the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. When you know who you are in Christ then you know what the devil isn't. He isn't able to bring problems against us and he is defeated in Jesus' Name.

Many times religion emphasizes people's wrong-doing. Christianity becomes a system of works and of do's and don'ts.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law and by fulfilling the requirements of the law, as He having been completely sinless, his blood sacrifice was enough to make you right with God. He did it, you can't do it, so stop trying to do it with works. You can't meet God's standard of perfection on your own. It was God manifesting himself in the flesh and then standing under the judgement that was meant for sinful man and taking the punishment on his own self that became the propitiation for our sin. All we have to do is accept the finished work of the Lord and submit ourselves and our lives to his Lordship and ask him to be our personal Lord and Savior. Once he enters into our lives and changes us from the inside out we are never the same again. Perhaps you are aware of these God given freedoms and you know about redemption but you're still having problems.

It would help you to know that we are to be living free from guilt and shame or any awareness of sin.

We are to be confident in Christ.

You must remember that you cannot help anyone unless you are free yourself. Remember Jesus said that before you try to remove the splinter in your brother's eye, you must first remove the plank from your own eye. (Mathew 7:4)

Another key to living according to the right standing God gave us through his son is to receive from God regardless of people's opinions. Righteousness is what Jesus did for us in the blood, not something we earn after cleaning up our lives. Satan is the accuser of the brethren, according to Revelation 12: 10-11 that even if you have stepped into some sin God is not our accuser.

The blood of Jesus pays the penalty for our sin. The wrath of God fell on Jesus. So what overcomes the attacks of Satan if we have been redeemed from sin? The Bible tell us the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony overcomes the enemy. That means that we are to plead the blood of Jesus and stay connected with the Holy Spirit. Confess our sins and repent of any unrighteousness in our lives, receive forgiveness and sin no more. Christ does not condemn us but we can open the door to the devil by allowing condemnation to hinder us if we yield to sin and through pride not be willing to repent and get free through grace. We still need to repent of conviction but God does not condemn us for any wrongdoing.

Remember what Paul said? You know the man used to write almost the entire New Testament? He endured trials and tests steadfast in the faith and was not moved. (Acts 20:23-24) Paul stated, "Save that the Holy Ghost witnesses in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God." Paul finished his course and lived according to the direction he received from God by standing during times of affliction. In Romans 1:17 Paul stated, "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith." And that in a nutshell is how we are to get through tests and trials. We are to go from faith to faith. Tests and trials are the work of the devil, but if we learn to stand in faith during those times, we gain ground and come out ahead of where we started. The devil only comes for a season. It may seem that the test is lasting and lasting. If we are resilient and live as Paul did during afflictions and finish our course that God has assigned us for our lives, we will do more that get to the other side, we will triumph in Christ and increase in every area of our lives. The storms of life will no longer scare us and intimidate us. We will face them with assurance in our souls that we are the righteousness of God in Christ and that place will be a place of victory and gain, instead of hardship we will see it as our gaining ground.
